It would be my honor and privilege to represent you as the Tarrant County Chapter Treasurer-Elect in 2026.
I relocated to the Lone Star State of Texas from California in September of 2024. I now reside in Weatherford and I currently work as a PRN RN in the Emergency Department at Medical City Alliance and Texas Health Azle. Prior to moving I was a Clinical Nurse Educator, with experience as an ED and ICU nurse. I completed my MSN in Nursing Education from CSU Sacramento in 2019.
I previously served as the CA ENA State Treasurer for a 2-year term (as Treasurer-elect for 1 year and then Treasurer 1 year) in 2023/2024. Prior to that, I served as the CA State Secretary for the 2022 year, as well as the Secretary for the ENA Sacramento Chapter in 2022 and 2021. In my short time serving ENA, I have learned much about the association, its mission and values, and its members and leaders. I am inspired by the professionalism and commitment of ENA’s leaders, and I want to embrace the opportunity to serve our members with the same level of dedication. Being involved in professional organizations has always been a part of my career; serving on boards has provided me the opportunity to network with peers and leaders within our profession and seek growth through leadership development, education, mentorship, and activism. I am passionate about collaborating to promote ENA’s mission in the advancement and excellence of emergency nursing and advocating for patient safety and safe practice.
If elected as Treasurer-Elect, my role and main goal would be to learn from and assist the elected Treasurer, for a seamless transition upon automatic succession. I have knowledge and experience in the ENA Treasurer’s Manual and associated duties including:
§ paying association bills and making deposits as needed
§ reviewing quarterly assessment reports
§ preparing monthly Revenue & Expense forms
§ preparing and managing the budget
§ reviewing and auditing of accounts and bank reconciliation
§ processing expense reimbursement forms
§ ensuring all required documents are submitted to the state or national ENA by designated deadlines
§ providing treasurer reports at ENA meetings
§ maintaining all treasurer records on One Drive
§ participating in annual strategic planning
§ providing virtual treasurer training and serving as a liaison
§ collaborating with business partners such as bank representatives and CPA
§ ensuring the overall welfare of the chapter/state to remain in good standing with compliance requirements.
In addition, I would provide support to the Chapter President, Board of Directors, and Committee Chairpersons as needed. I have demonstrated the ability to collaborate and work in teams, with professionalism, integrity and mutual respect; have effective oral and written communication; conduct evidence-based research; share in decision making and strategic planning for the future good of the organization. Thank you in advance for your consideration.
I have been an Emergency Department nurse for 48 years. Prior to becoming an emergency department nurse, I worked in Labor and Delivery for 5 years.
I have been an ENA member for 31 years. I have been active at the local and state level for approximately 28 of those years. I believed in ENA so much that I became a lifetime member in 200
